CaseTicker (caseticker.com) is built so that you can read your USCIS case without handing it to anyone. This page explains exactly what we collect, what we never collect, and who we share data with.

Free checks stay in your browser

When you paste or upload your case JSON, or open a CaseTicker link that carries it, the case is read and explained entirely inside your browser. Your case data is not uploaded to our servers or sent to any third party.

Links that carry case data put it after the "#" in the address (#data=). Browsers never send that part of an address to a server. CaseTicker reads it once and then removes it from the address bar so it does not stay in your history or get shared by accident.

Names, A-numbers, addresses and dates of birth that appear in the case JSON are dropped while it is read and are never kept, even in your browser.

Analytics

We use two analytics services to understand how the site is used: Google Analytics 4 and Plausible Analytics (self-hosted by us).

They record pages viewed and a small set of product events, such as "a case was checked" or "the waitlist form was opened", plus standard technical data such as browser, device type, approximate location derived from the IP address, and the referring site.

Analytics events never contain your receipt number, your name, your A-number or the case JSON. The only case details they may include are the form type (for example I-485), an event code, and counts such as how many events a case has.

Waitlist emails

If you join the waitlist for paid plans, we store your email address with our email provider, Resend, and use it only to tell you about the launch of paid plans. We do not ask for your name or any case details.

Every email has an unsubscribe link, or you can ask us to delete your address by writing to support@caseticker.com.

Paid accounts (after launch)

Paid plans are not on sale yet. The parts of this page about paid plans apply once they launch, and we will update this page if anything changes before then.

A paid account needs an email address to sign in. If you sign in with Google, we also receive the basic profile Google shares (name and profile picture); it is used only for your account.

Sync-based alerts need a copy of your case on our servers. We store it only after you explicitly agree, and only in de-identified form: the receipt number, form type, case events and their timestamps. We never store the name, A-number, address or date of birth from your case.

You can delete your stored case data at any time from your account or by writing to us. Deleting your account deletes it too.

Paid reports are kept for 90 days and then deleted.

Payments are handled by PayPal. We receive the transaction ID, plan, amount and payment status. We never see your full card or bank details.

Hosting and request logs

The site runs on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes each request to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, and our request logs can include IP address, page address and browser user agent. Because free checks never send case data, it cannot appear in these logs.

What we do not do

  • We do not ask for or store your USCIS account password.
  • We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising.
  • We do not use advertising cookies or ad networks.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us what data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by writing to support@caseticker.com. We answer within 30 days.

To limit analytics, see the Cookie Policy for opt-out options.

CaseTicker is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change how data is handled, we update this page and its "Last updated" date before the change takes effect.
